Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has become the most popular martial art because of it’s practicality in everyday life and in MMA combat. BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU - In the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes members learn techniques that focus on grappling and especially ground fighting. Jiu-Jitsu promotes the principle that smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage and proper technique; applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat them. BJJ can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. We train based on Renzo Gracie’s teachings.

Kids Jiu-Jitsu:
The young student will begin in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by learning the fundamentals of the art while working in a fun and healthy environment. They will have fun and build fond memories of fitness and martial arts while gaining respect and confidence.

BJJ Fundamentals: (White Belts 1 – 3 months)
New students will spend their first several months of training learning the basic fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that were developed by the Gracie family. Base, position and movement will be the primary focus during this stage of training. These essentials must be learned before the student can progress in the art.

BJJ Beginners: (1st Year White Belts)
Beginner students will begin their journey to Blue Belt. They will learn techniques that take their BJJ to the next level. If the student remains committed to training and the art than a Blue Belt can be achieved after the first year of training.

BJJ Intermediate: (Blue & Purple Belts)
During this stage of training students will master the fundamentals and basic techniques while constantly learning new techniques and refining their existing techniques. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

BJJ Advanced: (Purple With Stripes & Brown)
At this level students will work directly with a Black Belt instructor to master their techniques as they begin their journey to Black Belt.

MUAY THAI - Muay Thai is a form of martial arts that uses kicks and punches similar to those used in Western boxing. The hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art.

Beginner Muay Thai:
Students learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai. They will learn basic stances, clinches, kicks, punches, elbows and knees.

Advanced Muay Thai:
Students take their basic knowledge and begin to execute complex striking combinations.

BOXING - Students will learn traditional Western Boxing techniques - punches, stances, defense, and guards.

WRESTLING - Student will learn takedowns that will be effective in combat situations. Wrestling consists of clinching, holding, locking, application of leverage and takedowns.

KARATE FOR KIDS - Karate will be available for kids five to twelve years of age. They will learn the basic discipline, respect and self defense of traditional Karate.
